What does Habitat for Humanity of Cypress Bay do?

This club is dedicated to helping students change spark a positive change in their community. Our campus chapter has four main mission principles: volunteering, advocating, educating, and fundraising.
About Us
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to building or improving housing for individuals in communities all over the world. Aspiring homeowners are chosen and given the opportunity to receive a house by performing "sweat equity" which means to help build their homes or the homes of others involved with Habitat for Humanity.
Volunteering
As a member of Habitat for Humanity of Cypress Bay you would have the opportunity to volunteer at events such as the Habitat for Humanity Restore, build sites, and several events with foster kids. These events are one of the many reasons why our members love our club so much. Not only do they actually get to physically help their community, but also see the people who they are helping.
Advocating
Our campus chapter advocates for more affordable housing by spreading the word on our different social media outlets. As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words." For this very reason you will find that our club is very fond of capturing memories made at events. These pictures then inspire people to go out and volunteer with us as well!
Fundraising
In order to build houses, Habitat needs money. And in order to keep our campus chapter running smoothly, we do too. We hold any different events in order to fundraise such as soccer tournaments, restaurant fundraisers, and carwashes.
