On March 7th, Habitat for Humanity members were extremely excited to finally attend another long awaited build site. Unfortunately, this year we have not been able to participate in many build sites due to other factors, and we have had to focus on doing other things to help Broward. Although it was a great experience helping out in different ways, we are happy to finally be able to volunteer at the heart of Habitat again: the build sites.

Members drove to Fort Lauderdale early in the morning ready to give it their all and have fun. Members greeted the future homeowners and leaders of the buildsites. This is an amazing experience for members because it truly shows the difference Habitat makes in the lives of others. After ice breakers and introductions, it was time to get dirty! Members helped to paint the house and clean up the grass area outside. It was evident everyone was enjoying themselves and having fun with their tasks. Soon the gray walls became white after a great team effort and lots of paint!

We hope to continue volunteering at many more build sites in the future. Thank you to all our volunteers!
