Spreading the Holiday Cheer

Over this past winter break, our Habitat for Humanity chapter wanted to do something special for the Habitat homeowners and give them something they could enjoy.

We collected many donations that were holiday related such as candles and candy and compiled the gifts in handmade gift baskets.

Delivering the gift baskets to the homeowners during the holiday time was so rewarding. A few of our officers showed up to a homeowners meeting and distributed the baskets to everyone.

Instantly, expressions of joy and surprise filled the room. Seeing the smiles on the children's' faces was priceless and they were so appreciative for the baskets.This project made us realize what Habitat is all about and it was so amazing seeing the impact first hand. This wouldn't have been possible without the donations from our lovely members, so a big shout out to them.
